Hi there!
Comment on 7b. PPPoE doesn't seem to work.
Using tcpdump I see both PADI and PADO (?) packets (may be missing names, discovery of PPPoE concentrator and reply from it), but pppd doesn't connect.
Debug in /tmp/ppp/options.wan doesn't help.
Had to roll-back to 6b.
Hi, please post /tmp/ppp/options.wan0. Perhaps you've something in the service/ac name which is now used by pppoe.Originally Posted by Kitsok
Hi!
Here is options.wan from 6b (because I've rolled back)
[admin@border root]$ cat /tmp/ppp/options.wan0
noauth refuse-eap
user '****'
password '*****'
plugin rp-pppoe.so nic-eth1
mru 1492
mtu 1492
rp_pppoe_service 'hypernet'
defaultroute
persist
ipcp-accept-remote ipcp-accept-local noipdefault
ktune
default-asyncmap nopcomp noaccomp
novj nobsdcomp nodeflate
lcp-echo-interval 10
lcp-echo-failure 6
unit 0
maxfail 0
[admin@border root]$
I need the same with 7b running (you do not have to reset settings, just flash new firmware). The difference is most likely in the options.Originally Posted by Kitsok
Ok, I'll try to do it today evening.
Should I reset all settings?
No, just flash new firmware.Originally Posted by Kitsok
Hi Oleg
By my experiments with firmware 1.9.2.7-7b and cron I found little problem.
On last line in file /linuxrc is commad:
exec /sbin/init <dev/null >dev/null 2>&1
If I try run /opt/bin/run-parts , system says "/linuxrc: 26: cannot open dev/null: No such file"
correct command probably has been
exec /sbin/init </dev/null >/dev/null 2>&1
But because this file is placed on read-only filesystem, I don't know how improve this.
Thanx Vladimir

hi there,
I'm using FlashFXP and when I want to download files from my USB Stick ( the stick was plugged in) i can download about 600 kb/s. And I can upload files 145 kb/s.
I probe Total Commander but the speed is slow too.
Why? When I plug into my computer I can read files 6MB/s and write files 3MB/s.
LPR mode - works fine
RAW mode - not works
Printer: HP 6p
HW ASUS WL-500b
printer port: LPT
Firmware 1.9.2.7-7b
External usb disk (possible reason?)
running built-in dropbear, built-in samba, cron (installed via ipkg), added Midnight commander (via ipkg)
ps:
70 root 276 S lpd
72 root 240 S p9100d -f /dev/usb/lp0 0
74 root 240 S p9101d -f /dev/printers/0 1
Syslog: - see attached file
Any ideas?

hello,
1st, Thanks Oleg for your work!
Does the 1.9.2.7-7b firmware already enable us to set a usb harddrive to sleepmode?
What command line do we need to execute?
Can you please explain a bit more about the poweroff feature.
Can we "power off" from software?
Is this only for the wl-hdd or for the wl500g too?
How do we turn it back "on" ?
thanks,
[ WL-500G | fw: 1.9.2.7-7f ]

Hello,
I would really need to know if this firmware (or any others posted here on the 'wl500g firmware' part of the forum) work with the wl500gx (deluxe) model?
Because on 500gx firmware pages there arent any of olegs firmwares.
Thanks
