Would YOU purchase this router today???

Hi Guys, I am new to this forum, and this is my first post.

For a week or two, I have been looking at purchasing a WL-500g Premium, for mainly torrenting without a PC (as well as using it for all the other features) I have read some info on the Standard Firmware being pretty poor and to flash it with Oleg's firmware.

- Is this router still the best one to get??? (It seems to have the most flexability and community support )
- How old is the product? Is their a new version coming out soon??
- Why is it discontinued or out of stock in most of the UK stores?? ...Is this down to it being replaced soon or is it just so popular???
- Where would you reccomend purchasing it form (any recommendations for a UK based store/Best price).

new model is coming up: WL500gPV2, the only difference I know is that it has integrated all stuff inside (no more mini-pci)
afaik this model is beside the hardware difference the same

furthermore the WL500gP is still everywhere on stock here in holland at the distributors/my company

I have the Wl-500gP and i use it mainly to do the things you want to do: torrents without the need of a PC 24H a day on

The wl500g premium is already an evolution of the wl500g. I haven't had any problems with it.

I would buy the premium version 1 if i were you (unless you want to take the chance that the version 2 is not (yet) supported).
Probably the price is also better ;-)

The new firmware for the V2 is already here. I think we should be worried that V1 will not be supported

I have 2 Asus wl500g deluxe running here, would it be an option to upgrade to premium?
