IMHO it really makes no sense to speak about a "primary" antenna.
Well some routers/aps do actually do use a "main" antenna
They used to make those, and usually they where of cheap quality

nowadays real mimo uses the antenna's in a sort of... "multi-threaded way" (if that makes it easier to understand).
Or just like SATA harddrives... they don't have a master and slaves like PATA drives

or am I making bad examples here?

Thanks, i already tested and the Antena 0 is the best one (so i considered it primary) when i use only 1 antena. I think it matters, the antena 1 has a very weak signal, and the antena 2 it's almost the same as antena 0... I was saying "weird" when i connect to the router (antena 2), surf the web, ALL works normally except redirecting ports, when i said "weird" i was talking about the ports...

Please help! I'm currently running WL-500W on AP Mode everything running perfect. Just brought RT-N16, I read one of the post that You can't port WL-500W config to RT-N16

Can anyone advise which mode should I use for RT-N16 with F/W RT-N16-1.9.2.7-rtn-r1210.trx appreciate your help.

Yeh well... I ment: the config file saved from a wl-500 router can't be directly put on a RT-N16...
but you can use the same settings tho
it's just best if you set the webconfig manually.

harddrives are listed like /dev/discs/disca instead of /dev/discs/disc0
that's pretty much the only difference

    @wpte Thanks for fast reply
One more question can I use "Flashfs" from WL-500W?

I can confirm that, and it not only affects console sessions, but "save&restart" commands from the webinterface as well
(I'm using the r1232-build from wpte)

    I never noticed that

what sort of console connection do you use? telnet dropbear?
I use openssh myself instead of dropbear, that might the reason it never happened to me

It happend with telnet, dropbear and in the webinterface. perhaps i wanted to restart the session to quickly
I had to unplug the router about 6-7 times during the setup: setting name, pw, changing dhcp/wlan using the web-if and then during the follwing "wengi-installation" another few times.

Yes i forgot to mention that, web interface, telnet... It happen 3 times when rebooting, the HDDs turning off instead reboot. LOL

That was with r1220, r1232 it's ok so far... Let's see.

Well, I'm still using my old setup so I didn't had to follow wengi anymore

So I only had to set up the web interface.
And after that I did a few reboots but nothing happened like you describe

I tried a few reboots just now, and it all went fine
But like bef said, it can be that the reboots where issued too quickly after eachother
the webinterface kinda restarts the router instead of rebooting it, that usually gives a few problems

those can't be the sole reasons... i did reboot the router usind ssh and then waited a few minutes, it still did no start up correctly.

furthermore i'm pretty sure its not the power-supply either, i tested it with 2 others, same result :/

i experience something alike. when rebooting, the hdd is turned off, then turned on again with the restart, but is turned off again ~3-4 sec later and the router hangs up.

Yup, thats it. I already tried:

    1- Erase nvram, nvram commit.
    2- Router factory defaults.
3- Configure all manually again. I've never imported old configurations, always manually.
4- Remove OC. 480MHZ (it's not the OC either, it's rock stable at 532MHZ)

But since i installed r1232 i rebooted 3 times and i was all OK, offcourse it's not a real test, but i will do it tomorrow.

@Bef - What FW version are you using?
@Wpte - I've tried OpenSSH some time ago and i remember a lag of a few seconds between the username and the password screen:

    Username: admin
    ........ 5-10 sec ........
    Password: ??????

    Its continues happening?
