No noticeable improvement by updating wireless adapter's driver. Wireless connection was randomly disconnecting.
Good news is that changing of channel does the work. Guess channel should not be left to "AUTO" mode unless the firmware is smart enough to auto detect the used channels in the area, and auto select a non conflicting one. Perhaps one of us in this forum might wanna suggest it to ASUS
hmm I dunno, this wireless seems undeveloped sometimes
lately I have this with a lot of things, things that should work better and more efficient, but whatev.
But there is no way I can change channel 11, it's just broadcasting, because it should be, unfortunately, also 2 of my neighbours do that
I still get myself a nice 80m
it's just sometimes really laggy, even when I'm close
maybe I just live in a too dence wireless networking area
WPTE, change to 20 Mhz and you will be able to change the channel to 11
nah, it was something stored in the firmware, after some flashing and resetting it was gone and now I have some automatic channels
still the wireless chip is doing weird things... so I'm waiting for my replacement.
btw...
the only difference between 20mhz and 40mhz is that 20 sends stronger signals, is slower and can handle more clients.
at least... that is what I read...
