Hi,
I have wireless router Asus WL500gp. Since I wanted to amplify the router's output power I bought wireless lan booster Edimax SB-2100g (100 mW amplification).
Unfortunately it seems that the booster is not compatible with wl500gp, as the amplification led on booster turns off when I connect the router's output to its input. The output is also not amplified of course. When I tried another router (LinkSys), the booster worked ok.
Does anyone have any clue, what is going on? What could be the difference between routers? The behavior is the same with Oleg and Asus firmware. I tested 3 boosters but just one wl500gp on the other hand.
