Hi all,
I would like to suggest to port the ttraff daemon to Oleg's firmware.
I know we have the excellent rrdtool that does the job , but I think ttraff would be better since it is less cpu intensive and is able to collect traffic pretty much all the time as opposed to rrdtool that has to be limited to graph generation once per 30 mins and data collection once per 5 mins because it consumes too much cpu.

rrd graph for wl500gp http://wl500ginfo.pastebin.com/f63a4f212
Can you give a url to the ttraff utility you are referring to? The only one I am coming up with is the source for the one included in the DD-WRT. That version is written by one of the firmware developers over there and we would probably need to ask permission.

I don't see why rrdtool consumes so much CPU when collecting data. It only adds some numbers to the database. You probably mean that the scripts you use to produce those numbers consume lots of CPU, but that's not rrdtool's fault.
And you don't have to generate graphs all the time, only when you want to look at them.
