I think the default spindown instructions in KC's rc.local switchs off SMART. You can't get the HEALTH report without SMART enabled. I think this is because SMART wouldn't let the harddisk spindown for extended periods.

When try to run the disk health check (http://192.168.1.1/disk_management/f...sp?disk=SYSTEM), error message as attached appear, any idea?
The harddisk can't spin down now, which have no problem before (I have install KC's firmware with the spin down option)

Thanks LeperKing and KC. After disable the spindown instruction, I am able to get the HEALTH report.
I have another problem face now, the harddisk is unable to spindown even I enable the spindown instruction and disable the media sever winthin the web GUI. The problem appear after I have a power reset on the NAS. Anything I needed to check ?
