Windows "size on disk" for Samba share

Hi, I've just followed Macsat's guide for installing and setting up a Samba share, which I've done with a 500G WD USB drive. All good (thanks to Oleg and Macsat!), except that Windows reports file sizes on disk as multiples of 8MB (i.e. minium size is 8MB). So small files are apparently taking up excessive space.

Is this a Windows problem or Samba?

It won't matter to me unless Windows also incorrectly determines that the disk is full, and won't let me write to it. Haven't tested that yet.

    Cheers

OK, seems like the free space is correctly calculated, even though the total in use is not. So wherever the problem lies, it doesn't prevent writing to disc prematurely.
