    software raid possible?

    Hey guys!

I just received my wl-500g Premium and I'm absolutly impressed by this "little" piece of hardware. Everything works perfectly...

Since everything is working so far I began thinking of some more features. Would it be possible to create a software raid over three drives combining them to a big one (stripping)? Has anyone ever tried this before?

    Thanks for your help,

    Arnulf_

Why in the hell would you wanna do that ? The HDD speeds are sad anyways.
I dont know about the rest but I can manage about 4mb/sec from the router(usb HDD) to my PC which is 1 meter away....
So what would be the purpuse ?

Well - I wanna use the wl-500g as backup device for my mac and my notebook. I will use 3 HDs to have enough space to backup all my files.
Raid would make this a lot more flexible since I wouldn't have to worry about which file being backupped where. Everything could be one huge volume...
