    Hi,

    there is no entry in your:
    Code:
    /opt/etc/sane.d/saned.conf
    That might be the reason for xsane-error. Look at 2.3 on the HowTo.

    Please post the output of:
    Code:
    sane-find-scanner
    and
    Code:
    scanimage -L
