WL-500gP with a WD my book pro II 1TB I/O errors

Hi,

I have been using the WL-500gP with a WD my book pro II 1TB (RAID 1 500GB) EXT3 for ½ year now ...
first I tested the stock FW and the USB HDD wasn't recognised, so I switched to
Oleg's 1.9.2.7-7f that went fine after following the good tutorials here, but then I ran into the following problem ...

first the disk usage of the drive ...

the problem is copying files to the share and getting the follwing problems:

I can upload many GB at a time that works fine, but only up to a certain point, then I get the above errors ...
I have now again tested stock FW 1.9.7.5 released a few days ago and the USB HDD is still not recognised by the WL-500gP,
so I have writen to the asus tech support...

The trasfer rates I had were these:
SAMBA: 3,0MB/s up or down to HDD (net use S: \\192.168.1.1\share$ /user:nobody)
NFS: 3,3MB/S up or down to HDD (mount -tnfs 192.168.1.1:/tmp/harddisk /Mount)

ohh not to forget, the US HDD works without a problem on the PC I can transfer a lot more without any problem...

So now I have tried to test all sorts of different partitions and formating with no avail ...

on a sidenote I have seen people have problems with this drive on a Linksys NSLU2:

the next thing I will try is to partition it again and use the Oleg's 1.9.2.7-7f ...

Probably a wise decision to use Oleg firmware.
