HUB USB 2.0 vs. 1.0

Hello,
I’m wondering… maybe one of you have experience using USB2.0 hubs and plugged into it USB 1.0 devices?
I found one solution but it’s unsatisfied for me.
‘rmmod ehci-hcd’
gives USB1.0
On my WL-500gP there are two separate USB ports but unfortunately I don’t know how to enable 2.0 only on one – if it’s possible?? That may do the trick for me.
If anybody knows a solution or a workaround please share.

just use USB 1.0 Hub on the first Asus USB port and your second Asus USB port is still on USB 2.0.
