You need to put a $ in the path
\\Wl500g\share\part1 = Read only
\\Wl500g\share$\part1 = Read/Write
Hi there,
I'm new to this forum - but not new to the WLHDD.
I'm using it with patched firmware (newest release) and now (for the first time) put a USB disk on it. Is is recognized as "part1" but I can only read files form it and not write.
Neither ftp nor Samba are working to write and changig the rights to reand and write is also not working.
Is there something I have co configure in the webinterface?
I can read/write the root (the internal hdd) - but not the USB disk on it.
thank you very much,
kind regards
Christian

hello,
thanks for your answer, but that does not solve it :-(
I know I have to set the "$" - I should had mentioned that - but still, the folder "part1" (the usb disk) is only readable.
Just more strange (in my opinion): I am running the NFS Server and have choosen to record to "/part1". I thought I so could record to the usb disk - but failed. As long as the usb disk is attached and is called "part1", I can not access the recorded files. But when I remove the usb disk, the remains a folder "part1" whith my files transfered to it...
kind regards
Christian
What kind of filesystem do you have on your disc?
Perhaps ntfs? ...then change to any writable fs.
yeah it is nfts...
so when that's the reason why...
thank you
I can't change this HDD to ntfs, but the next one I plug to it will be another fs..
thanks!
