Thread: setting up 500g router, with a current dlink wireless router

Talking setting up 500g router, with a current dlink wireless router

    I have

DLink wireless and wired router 604T
    Asus 500g premium
    512k ADSL connection on AOL

I have tried connecting the 500g to the pc ethernet port, the cable from the dlink to the WAN port on the 500g

Hit the easy setup button, it goes to 100% and doesn't pick it up, the 500g picks up via 192.168.1.1 but again it won't pick the Dlink router.

I have tried removing the connection of the 604T to the 500g premium, and it won't even pick up the wireless, and its not protected in anyway.

I want the 604T to be able to pick up the asus 500g. The 604T was used for connection to the internet normally.

The main feature i want to use is the download manager when your pc is off, and i can download stuff off the net.

What are your setups for wireless routers ?

    Good luck with that one..

You'd better use the Oleg firmware and a Linux torrentpackage if that's your main purpose.
