it's been a long time since i played with my wl500, but what you could search for help on the vi editor. From what you are posting, i guess this is what is blocking you.
I have read the tourial, but still have some problems.
My disk is allready formated to fat32, so i started the guide from where we enable SAMBA
The problem starts when i try saving the changes i did in smb.conf.
First i pressed "i" , wrote:
[global]
workgroup = <workgroup name>
guest account = nobody
security = share
browseable = yes
guest ok = yes
guest only = no
log level = 1
max log size = 100
encrypt passwords = yes
dns proxy = no
[fat32]
path=/tmp/harddisk
writeable = yes
browseable = yes
force user = admin
Then i press "ESC" , but how do i save my work ? when i press q , the messesage "q" is not implementet - what do i do wrong ?
Can i make the smb.conf in notebook, save as smb.conf , and then ftp the file to root in my harddrive ?
