    What does the * means in the DHCP leases log?

    Title says everything. I see that there are some clients with an * and some that don't have it. What does this mean?

    i believe they don't have a host name.. don't know for sure,, can't see right now

    I have seen some machines with and without the * at different times. All the machines in this net have names (Windows). Has this something to do with software firewalls?
