    Relation between NAT-FIREWALL-FILTER

I resently bought a WL-500g. From different routers I have configured I had no problem with the NAT and the Virtual Server. The thing that is confusing me with the WL-500g is the Firewall settings and all the different filters. Can't find any good guide in the manual to configure these correctly.

How do the NAT, virtual server, firewall and filter affect each other? Tried to find some answers on the forum for settings on the firewall and filter, but no luck.

Are there some kind of guide I can use or can someone give me an explaination?
