strange hard disk noise

Hi,

Usually the hard-disk (LaCie Porsche) attached to my asus wl500gx is silent but sometimes starts to make a lot of noise ("cleck, cleck, cleck...") without reason (when this happens i'm not using the wifi connection, the samba server or the mt-daapd server).

If I reboot the Asus the hard disk noise stops an doesn't start again.

Can anybody give some help about this problem?

Maybe someone has attached to your wifi and is grabbing your stuff
