  1. How to delete a file using putty?


    I want to delete a file on my router eks. smb.conf. It's totally messed up. and i want to start all over. How can i dele a file, which command to use?

    Connect using putty ( and login with your username and password.
    Browse to the directory where the file is located and delete the file using the command 'rm'

    ~# cd /etc
    /etc#rm smb.conf
    This is really basic stuff. Have a look here:

  3. Okay thanks alot... now i will continue with user rights.... anybody who knows anything about this? assigning folders to be writeable and so on?
