Hi there, thanks for this forum - it's helped me get my WL-HDD talking to my SpeedTouch wireless modem/router.
The only trouble I'm still having is that encryption doesn't work. I can turn WEP on on the WL-HDD, and the SpeedTouch still speaks to it, but if I turn on WEP on the SpeedTouch, with the same key, they don't communicate!
Basically here is what works:
Here is what doesn't work:
When working, the WL-HDD has the SSID of "WL-HDD" hidden and the following settings (everything else is factory default):
AP Mode = AP
Connect to APs in the Remote Bridge List = No
Allow anonymous = No
MAC Access Mode = Accept with the Speedtouch MAC in the Access Control List
Become an AP if no AP can be connected = No
Client Mode = Connect to AP in profiles
Preferred AP = Speedtouch (and it's in the profile list as well)
I really want to have some sort of encryption - any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Mike
