    Hi,

try set the power on the Page http://192.168.1.1/Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp

    wl txpwr 40

    and check it with:

    wl txpwr1

Intresting, after giving the command wl txpwr1 :
TxPower is 127 qdbm, 31.75 dbm, 1496 mW Override is Off

After the command wl txpwr 40
TxPower is 64 qdbm, 16.00 dbm, 40 mW Override is Off

    After a restart
TxPower is 127 qdbm, 31.75 dbm, 1496 mW Override is Off

    hi,

you can try this to set the power permanent
I take no responsibility on this:

    ----------------------------------
    nvram set wl_radio_power_x=19
    nvram commit
    ----------------------------------

for me it works fine the commit can take a while

Asus just published the source code for this firmware:
    ftp://dlsvr03.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wire...500gp_1968.zip

they also said that they'll do the same for the other firmware (then were's 19.6.9? )

    YEAH!!

    Really cool.

Perhaps OLEG will improve this firmware.

Telnet support would be very cool.
And the possibility to install a package system.

what packet system would you install? this is a mips cpu. are there any repositorys one would want to use? i think i'll be going for gentoo on my router. it will propably take a week to build, but that seems like a fairly good idea.
