    Question Edit Samba Shares

    Hi folks,
Yesterday i flashed Olegs Firmware (1.9.2.7-7c) onto my WL500g.x which was no problem. It all works fine, including the default samba shares.

Now I want to edit theese share folders.
I have no really big knowlegde about Linux especially not with SAMBA but i telnetted to /etc/smb.conf and edited it with vi.

I created two new Share folders and renamed the "share$" into "writeaccess$". The new folders / shares were created they were listed in the Windows-Explorer. I also had acces to "writeaccess$" but I still could access "share$". What did I made wrong?

I also don't know what the row "forceuser = admin" means; why is it just at the share$ present?

Last problem is, that the smb.conf is not saved permanently (after a reboot of the router it's default again). I think I must do something with flashfs, right?

I'm looking forward for your answers

    Ok I solved my Problems....
I found out how to permanently save my configurations..

    Code:
    echo /etc/smb.conf >> /usr/local/.files
    flashfs save
    flashfs commit
    flashfs enable
..and that a "downgrading" of permissions on folders is not possible without restart the router / samba

Also I will release a german step by step guide for setting up own samba shares. (In the german forum of course)
