help:Wl500g & Linksys 7db antenna

hello,
I've made a media center with 54g wireless dongle.
but my Wl500g have not enough "power" to access him
so I've change the antenna and put a Linksys 7db antenna but it's not really better

does I need change the "Radio Power" in the wl500g web page ?
the actual value is 40 (the default was 30 and I've change to 40 without success ...)
