You need to switch wl300g to Access Point mode or enable pppoe relaying if it runs in Home Gateway mode.
Hello Oleg,
my config is:
Notebook with pppoe client-(wire)-WL300G ....(wireless).... WRT54GL-(wire)-PC with pppoe server.
WRT54GL is in AP mode, WL300G is in Ethernet Bridge extended mode, ping is ok from notebook to PC.
When I use 1.8.1.7-2a fw. on WL300G, I can connect to pppoe server, but when I use 1.9.2.7-7a, I can't. telnetting into WL300G tcpdump shows a PADI packet, but no answer.
Pls help.
Thanks in advance,
Jacsa

Unfortunately I can't swap the WRT54G and WL300g, WRT must be as an AP and WL300g-s as clients (I set AP mode to "AP only", and Extended mode to "Ethernet Bridge"). Once again, your 1.8.1.7-3 firmware works well in this configuration and relays the PPPOE frames, but the 1.9.2.7-7a doesn't relay.Originally Posted by Oleg
The only two features why I would like to use 1.9.2.7-7a, the SMTP daemon and the working WPA-PSK in AP-client mode.
