WL300G blocks PPPOE traffic in 1.9.2.7-7a

    Hello Oleg,

    my config is:

Notebook with pppoe client-(wire)-WL300G ....(wireless).... WRT54GL-(wire)-PC with pppoe server.

WRT54GL is in AP mode, WL300G is in Ethernet Bridge extended mode, ping is ok from notebook to PC.

When I use 1.8.1.7-2a fw. on WL300G, I can connect to pppoe server, but when I use 1.9.2.7-7a, I can't. telnetting into WL300G tcpdump shows a PADI packet, but no answer.

    Pls help.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jacsa

You need to switch wl300g to Access Point mode or enable pppoe relaying if it runs in Home Gateway mode.

Unfortunately I can't swap the WRT54G and WL300g, WRT must be as an AP and WL300g-s as clients (I set AP mode to "AP only", and Extended mode to "Ethernet Bridge"). Once again, your 1.8.1.7-3 firmware works well in this configuration and relays the PPPOE frames, but the 1.9.2.7-7a doesn't relay.
The only two features why I would like to use 1.9.2.7-7a, the SMTP daemon and the working WPA-PSK in AP-client mode.
