Ahhhh...ok.
/usr/local is the same as /tmp/local
Thats why there were no files.
And normaly you do your mounts in post boot.
No post-boot -> no mounts -> big problems

is there any chance fo a port to the WL-566gM
http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1...38&modelmenu=1
it has the same interface and the GPL source code for firmware version 1.0.1.8 is on the asus site
Hi Oleg,
I have downloaded and patched the Asus 1.9.2.7 to yr 7g revision.
The make and make image-wl550g complete without error, however the resulting .trx file is 2.7MiB vs yr built image of 3.4MiB and mine fails to flash.
I can flash yr version without error.
Any idea what might cause this?
Man what good fw!
Finaly installed the Oleg fw.
Should 've done it a long time ago!
Thanks Oleg!
Hello Oleg,
I get the following error when trying to use PPTP with MPPE:
"MPPE required, but kernel has no support" ?
I tried firmware 1.9.2.7-g and 7e.
My additional pppd options are: "defaultroute require-mppe"
I thought MPPE is part of the custom firmware kernel since a long time?
I saw a thread having a similar problem - but you continued to talk in russian :-)
Here are the logs from -7e:

Anyway, great work, i am using your firmware since a long time!

Hi!
Could anyone confirm a bug with WL500g deluxe and oleg firmware?
If I set my WAN IP as 84.255.254.x the wireless connection becomes very unstable (wired computers work without problems) - the problem seems to be in the 255 part of the ip.
I have reproduced the bug on two WL500g deluxes one with 1.9.2.7 CR7f and one with 1.9.2.7 CR7g oleg firmware.
The procedure I used to reproduce the bug:
- disconnect wan, leave only 1 wired pc connected
- reset the router
- go to IP Config -> WAN & LAN
- Wan connection type choose Static IP
- IP Address enter 84.255.254.1
- Netmask enter 255.255.192.0
- Click finish
- after the router finishes rebooting you can see the default wireless network with your laptop
- if you try to connect to the network you get an error and the network disappears from scans
- wired computer works as normal
- if you leave it like that for a while (few hours) it comes to its senses and you can connect wirelessly, and it works as normal
- after some time (a few hours) the wireless connection dies again
The weird ip range is from a slovenian isp that offers a 10/10 ftth connection for 14eur so I really need this to work
hmmz, it is a valid ip address, so I cannot see that this is the problem.
Do you set the wan connection to auto negotiate or have you set it manually? if it is set to auto negotiate, try setting it to 10 mbps/full or half manually and see if that helps?
The WL-566gM has a different CPU, and a different Wifi chipset.

this unit looks like it has a smiler firmware any chance for a port to it as you carnt buy the WL-500g and the WL-550ge are no longer sold in Australia
