Asus WL500 is slow when accessed from WAN....

Since a few days i changed my ISP.
the ISP i had before provided me with its own router solution, so my WL500 was behind the ISP's one.
The provider i have provide's me with a standard ADSL ethernet modem. But since i have this provider accessing my home network from the WAN side is very slow.
The webcam is affected but also my IIS server.
I have plenty of bandwitdh and pinging the WL500 returns good results.

I'm using oleg's latest firmware. My local network uses adresses in the 172.16.x.x range.....

    Does someone have any idea?

    Part 2 :

I made some research on the forum. Some people are suggesting to use the Asus as AP.... I would prefer not to do that, since i purchased a router....

OK.... I'll just go on in my monologue.....

Disabling the Firewall in the WEB interface did the trick.
I'm still protected by the NAT layer....
But what i do not like is that now the admin interface is reachable on port 80 through WAN.
I think i'm gonna study IPTables to find out what would be the best.

Have you tried tomato?? It's amazing

There are a 3rd party firmware that turns your router into a diamond. Just try it. If you dont like, you can put the original asus firmware back.
