    Problem... please help

    I have a problem with my wl500g.
I have a small network at home, 2 laptops an a desktop, through an scientific atlanta epx2203 cable modem and, of course, the router. The laptops connect wireless and the desktop through ethernet.
Up until today, the desktop wasn't in the ecuation, and the network was going along just fine, but when i fixed the desktop and connected it to the network, the network crashed. And it kept on connecting and crashing roughly every 5 seconds. When i removed the WAN cable, the network started working again (2 laptops +desktop), but that's no good if i don't have an internet connection, right ? What do i do ? I've tried everything.

    Respectfully,
    Mihai

And if you remove your desktop it's all fine again too?

    Yes.
Btw, i tried updating the firmware, to 1.9.5.0 and it's the same.

Sounds strange indeed. Any chance to try another network card for the desktop?

Have 2 network cards. Tried them both. But since the problem doesn't occur when the wan cable isn't attached, i don't think it's from the desktop.
