Help about installation and config Oleg FW.

Hello,
I need fullhelp.
My first problem is my bad english.
I have searched a long time, but the most does not work.

The Oleg 1.9.2.7-6b Firmware is flashed and the web interface works fine (i think so) Telnet works too.

I need access to my internal hdd with Samba and ftp and i would like to use my medion 9388 Webcam.

I need a "Step by Step" manual.

There's no real step by step manual. Look here:

That will get you started en also look at macsat.com for tutorials about installing samba,ftp etc.

You really have to look better and do a lot of reading. If you are not willing to do this, stick with the original fw. That's not ment offensive but an advise.

OK!
I have done the mascat tut's.
After some trouble with samba nmbd the most is working. (i think so)
Now i will create users for ftp and Samba.
The Webcam and the Mailing is not working (yet?)
I need a Way to save all, because after Powerfail WLHDD goes to default and my hard work is gone.
I will not use an USV.

Hi, i have done Mascat Tut's

in in the Tut's is recommended to use flashfs save/commit/enable.
I have done this!
When i shutdown my wlhdd all is ok, but when there is a Powerfail is the WLHHD in default mode.
I hope it's better to understand.

I remember a few times having about the same issue with my WL-HDD.
Don't know the exact conditions anymore, but the result: lost settings
(those that were in the web configuration screen).

Installed post-boot, pre-shutdown were still in place, sometimes it is necessary to do "flashfs enable" to re-activate those.

I remember other articles that have been written in this forum but
I can't find them back.

It works fine, but i have not created users yet. (no time)
It seems, that the Samba-Server works very slow now.
I will read a time in the Forum and hope to find more answers.
