    500g vs 500gx (deluxe)

    Hi, All!

I've been browsing this forum for quite some time, but I haven't really found an answer to these questions:

If I don't intend to use the FTP (file server) on the router, is there anything that makes sense buying the expensiver 500g deluxe. Does 32MB of ram show any difference? If I enable Afterburner on 500g is there a difference in speed performace? (Does Afterburner affect Highspeed only or is there a noticable speed increase with any wlan card) Is there anything other reason why I should buy 500g Deluxe?

    Thank you for your answers,
    over.

Whow thanx for the immidiate answer.

Damn... I thought I could save some € on 500g

Oh ... and I forgot to ask this: Is there a way to limit whole bandwidth betewen two users (half BW to each user)? I heard that it must be done for every single port which is pretty impossible.

    Thanx,

QoS feature on wl500 is for applications, not for users.

the rules are set like date :
    for dl : remote_ip port min_bw max_bw
    for ul : port min_bw max_bw

So you can't share your bandwith between two users, except if they always use some different port or host (ex: one user always download with ftp on port 21, and the other only download on port 80 by http)
