    [VP100] Asus VP100 / SMTA (Standalone Media Terminal Adapter)

    I have received some nice pictures and documents from MAV about the Asus SMTA or probably called VP100

    The VP100 series is already anounced by Asus as a 2-port VoIP Gateway in the Asus World book:

    ASUS VP100 series is a VoIP station gateway that enables individuals and businesses to protect and extend their investments in telephones, cordless phones, and fax machines. It provides 2 Foreign Exchange Station (FXS) ports for connection to 2 ordinary telephones and 1 Foreign Exchange Office (FXO) for PSTN back up. The brand new application is developed to support open standard SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), which interoperates with major SIP-based call servers, IP-PBXs and various VoIP client devices.

    • DTMF Detection (RFC 2833)
    • Type-of-service (TOS)
    • Light: Power,WAN,LAN,Line1 & Line2

    I think that it wil be cost 125 +/- 25 $
    and may be in september -october

    Cool Corrections

    I have to correct two points...
    - the price at wifishop.cz (including VAT) is +/- 110 $
    - it has two FXS port, but NO FXO port (see the picture above to verify )
    ... still looks very interesting.
