Adminpages from Wan
hi @ all,
i have the problem, that i do much work on my network from elsewhere than home, and for that i recently activated the option to access the adminpages from wan,
that works nice, i can acess it and see if everything works, but if i want to change anything, for example if i send a command in the hidden commandlinepage or if i want to add a new entry in the virtualserverpages, the following page changes the adress from
http://my.dyndnsadress.org:port/Main...us_Content.asp
to
http://192.168.1.1:port/Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp
what ends in an timeout, because i cant connect ip 192.168.1.1 from the internet, i think this is a problem in the websiteprogramming because links are not set by:
./Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp
but by:
%localrouterip%/Main_AdmStatus_Content.asp
i dont know if they are realy set like that, but i cant explain it otherwise.
the problem is that i in that way can watch anything, but i cant send any command or change, an thats what i need it for, can anybody help, or is there a fix for, out there?!
thanks and sunny greetz from germany! ^.^

never looked further into it
but reload the mainpage (ctrl-r) and retry
often that helps for me
-
hm maybe i can find smthing in the webserverfiles.
can anyone tell me howto get all the files off the router?
and maybe also after manipulation back into it!?
-
it's in the /www directory of the router
to alter them permanently you should rebuild the firmware
-
??? dont they permanently remain when i edit them with vi or that way?
will new firmwares delete them again?
howto make the changes also remain after firmwareupdate?
does anyone know if mc (midnightcommander) can be made running on wl500g?
howto rebuild the firmware when i changed something in the webserverfiles?
thanks for your help again...
realy a great site and a great forum, even if the firmwareselector could be made better, the idea is quite great, but the solution it is presented is not that good, maybe one here can help you with that. but i am here since a year or so (lost my old account, dunno why ) ), since i buyed my asus device, and im very happy because i learned a lot in here, and the people are quite great, go on that way!!!
