    edokey/emule command line client....

Has anyone managed to compile any edonkey/emule cmd line client ?
The only one I used to use for linux like that was mldonkey.
But it uses OCaml, and I couldn't cross compile that.
I have been looking for alternatives, but haven't found any opensource one.
If anyone knows any, please do tell me so I can try to cross compile it.

I know that the cpu power of the router might not be enough for hashing a lot of files and stuff like that, but for downloading small files once in a while it might handle.

Thanks in advance for any info

    Try the same

wonderful to find someone who have the same problems

I try to compile binaries for
    mldonkey
    and unison

I found some usefull information on mldonkey for OpenWRT

    http://www.mldonkey.org/phpbb2/viewt...?p=36862#36862

But finally I could not get it to work...

Someone want to join a crosscompile project?
    Someone had a solution?

    Best regards

Hmm, at least something is going on this theme...

    Me neither got it croscompiled.
It looked like you can make ocaml->c->binary for speeding things up, but the makefiles have not a bit of preparation for croscompilation .

It seems that someone got amule (a donkey client) working for OpenSlug :
    http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Main...RunAmuleDaemon

So it should work wl500g : Unslung/WL500g packages available for Oleg's firmware

Yes, but all packages are for armed architekture.
I will try to compile it for Asus WL-XXX.
I tell you if my afforts are successfull or if they fail.

There are no hopes for emule unless toolchain and uClibc is upgraded to be able to get stdlibc++ working! But this is no kiddy compile job.

    amule works

    Hi,
i successfully compiled aMule 2.1.1 on a chrooted Debian following the instruction for NSLU, it took 18 hours and some rolls of swap space.
The cpu is loaded at 30% when idle, memory usage is also fine, around 11 megs. In overall, the system is quite responsive.
I have some problems with Kademlia, but the server connection works fine.
I could'nt link statically libs, i get a weird error, so you'll need to go Debian.

Now that libuclibc++ is available for Oleg with toolchain at http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/FAQ/OptwareWl500gBuild it shouldn't be so difficult to adapt existing package amule package for wl500gx native instead of fat Debian. See http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.p.../make/amule.mk for details of the ARM port
