Your stick does not contain partition table, it's formated like a big floppy disk. It's not supported by wl500g this way. You've to run fdisk and create a partition and reformat the stick.

I see no reason for this. Perhaps your USB ports are damaged...

    Snmp

I try (from my linux server) get snmp info on my Asus WL-500b,
(with firmware WL500b-1.9.2.7-6b.trx) but It seems doesnt working.

    I try
    /usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/cfgmaker public@80.250.xx.xx

    but I got:::
    SNMP Error:
    no response received

    I try too:
    snmpwalk -v1 -c public 80.250.xx.xx

    I got:
    Timeout: No Response from 80.250.xx.xx

1, Of course I have Enable SNMP.. on YES, community name I for the first test I have public.
2, Of course from my linux sever I do a lots of walks to another routers like cisco, dlink.

Any Ideas what could be wrong ?

btw. thank you very much for this great job!

Are you trying to access this from WAN? If so, then this would not work until you adjust your firewall (manually vis post-firewall). This is a security feature.

    SNMP and FW

Sorry, problem with SNMP solved. I just talk with my provider, from provider side are some rules for filtering snmp, and icmp. :-(

I have second questions about firewall.
I was searching for info about "howto write my own rules to firewall" which stay written after router reboot,
but I did not find it. Could You help. Me ?

Where and How write new rules permanently to firewall from shell ????

    Thank You Petek.
