midnight commander ( mc ) broken

After doing an ipkg update/upgrade recently I've found mc broken. I crashes with the following (probably useless) message:

"Hint: you may specify the editor for f4 with the shell variable EDITOR . Illegal instruction"

the installed version is 4.7.5.1-1. I have another router at hand that has a still working version 4.7.0.9-1 installed.
Both routers are RT-N16's.

Is there a specific place I should/could report this problem directly?
And does anyone have an older ipkg at hand?
