Are there any alternative firmwares out for the router?
Yeah mister WPTEI'm talking based on previous routers like RT-N56U, i just hope that things could be better... But i dont really know if that will happen
Starting from the problems on the first RT-N66U units... It tells too much![]()
Are there any alternative firmwares out for the router?
Here you have:
http://tomato.groov.pl/index.php?dir...V-EN%2FRT-N66U
Interesting, tomato-K26USB-1.28.RT-N5x-MIPSR2-085V-AIO.trx FW :P
Thanks. I read on tomato forums though that victek builds have a method which increases the nvram space available on some routers (He says that total available is 128k but only 32k is mapped and his builds can auto detect and change mapping or something. His RT-n16 build already can change this to 60k.) Hope this change comes to all tomato builds and can be used for rt-n66u as well.
Any progress-updates for the http://code.google.com/p/wl500g/ firmware on the N66U?
5.100.138, but it is not latest SDK
Unfortunately, not. Take a look at Toastman post - DRIVER FOR THE RT-N16It seems stable so far, couldn't you use they're repository / drivers? It's being a little bit painful having the router and not the FW :P
Additionally, neither theMIROn, nor me, haven't RT-N66U for experiments yet.
Ok, we will have to wait
RT-N66U is available now worldwide, almost every store have it, prices go from 140€ to 220€
PS: DD-WRT have access to Broadcom SDK right? Why they have and others don't?
So in that case how would this be solved? Wait for what or for who? How the actual 5.60 was available to you? And 5.100 to tomato? Aren't drivers available on OpenSource FW available on ASUS site? Even it's not 100% stable i think it was a good idea releasing your FW like Tomato did, it's better than nothing...
