Those kind of things one knows but has never reflected about it until the consequences are faced.
Files under /usr/local/sbin resides on the flash memory also known here as ramfs. Well, I changed to OpenWRT but unfortunately I forgot to backup the files under /usr/local/sbin. What happened? I lost all post-xxxx files together with many of my scripts.
What I had on the top my head to commit this mistake? Well, since I booted from USB I took for granted "everything" was in there. What a fateful mistake!
The moral of the story: keep a good backup of the files you have under /tmp. Unfortunately I never did…
