hi, i would be interrested in webmin, but your URL does not work ..
Intro
Sometimes I need reinstall router software and then I need some packages which are not in optware feed. Downloading, building and configuring what I need takes some time. So I made some native packages for router and created new feed for them.
Of course these packages not will be updated so often like optware (to be honest I don't know if there will be some new updates) but I hope maybe this will be useful for someone
Maybe, more update info (but I can't promise it) about this feed you can find at http://wl500g.at.mekdrop.name/.
How to get these packages?
To use my packages feed You need:
- Open /opt/etc/ipkg.conf file with text editor.
For example:
Code:mc -ec /opt/etc/ipkg.conf- Add following line to bottom of file:
Code:src/gz mekdrop http://wl500g.at.mekdrop.name/packages- Save & close file.
- Execute following line in your shell:
Code:ipkg update
What do these packages?
bip-webadmin
BIP WebAdmin is a web tool to manage your BIP server (BIP is another IRC proxy like PsyBNC). Still it needs some improvements but it's usable.
Default login/pass: root/123456
More info about this tool You can find on my personal site's page.
iroffer
It's standalone file server for IRC (you don't need use any mIRC or other chat software scripts to use this).
More info about this tool You can find on official iroffer website.
libretto
It's pretty cool download GUI for wget, enhanced ctorrent, jigdo-lite, aria2.
More info about this tool You can find on official libretto website.
psybnc
If you want to stay always online on IRC it's good idea to use PsyBNC.
When You install this package, I suggest You to edit configuration file. You can find it in /opt/psybnc directory.
More info about this tool You can find on official PsyBNC website.
webmin
Maybe it's not very fast on WL500gp hardware but it still is useful! With Webmin You can edit many configuration files directly from web.
Default login/pass: admin/admin
Default configuration in most cases I think will be correct.
More info about this tool You can find on official Webmin website.

webmin is easy to install yourself, it's just a bunch of perl scripts
so, install perl
and get the tar.gz (not the rpm) from the official site: http://www.webmin.com/download.htmlipkg install perl
extract it somewhere on your router, read the README file and execute setup.sh
it has a build in webserver, so it's pretty easy.
Only thing tho, all the paths of the plugins aren't setup for optware directories, so you need to change that manually in webmin so that they can control the programs.
Sorry to dump an old thread but maybe someone has already precompiled iroffer ? or maybe could cross-comile one? it doesn't seem to require anything special besides linux platform to start with (or colinux + image but that's gonna take another ~ 16hours to download for me)
*edit* figured it out with quicker method:
