How to extract data when HD Good but Hardware has failed

I have a work HD but the Hardware has stopped working after a power failure. Seems to be a common problem but no solutions given.

Does anyone know how to get the data off by mounting in linux etc?

Can anyone extract the data for me in Australia?

I believe the file system may be a propriety Reiser FS.

Hi I have the same problem.

I tried to connect the Hdisk through USB external box to my PC but doesn't work.(the partition is unallocated partition or at least is not regognized).
The only solution that I found is to purchase a new power supply from asusparts .
When I will receive the new power supply I will try to power on the storage router after have connect the HD, to see what will be happen

The file system is Reiser FS (interesting read on google about founder)

I have extracted data off the internal disk before using this information

I have also installed a 750G hard drive.

I am in Australia if you still need the data removed.
