    WL500g as ethernetclient and router?

Currently I get my internet through radio link, where as I get my ISP`s wireless signals to my Ethernet client box that convert it and send it to my Dlink router box. Two boxes actually. Possible to do this in one box, like having the wan port and routing on the wireless part?
Asus WL500g beeing router and ethernet client at same time? I need static routing.

I have tried to make a schematic.

Yes, this should work at least with custom firmware. Probably this would work with 1.9.4.0 beta from ASUS too.

Cool. I have checked the wl500g by a friend and it has a setting like 'extended mode' and 'ethernet client' is an option.
By just enabling this can I connect to ISP with SSID, wep and a cloned mac address?
What to buy then, deluxe version or standard?
Is wl500 the currently hottest/best|value wifi router around?

if you don't need 'extra' functions or speed buy WL500g as it is cheaper

WL500g Deluxe is faster, and has more memory but does not have a LPT port (IF needed at all..) but instead has 2x USB 2.0 ports instead of 1x USB1.1+LPT

we can not decide for you if the WL500g (The WL500 is antique, please do not talk about it if you don't mean this one) is the hottest/best value router.

Deluxe is better, as we've not found hw bugs yet. Runs stable.

Checked around and what I need is more called WDS-routing or station mode.
    See
    http://www.support.draytek.co.uk/wlan_wds.html

    and check 3'rd schematic.

don't think so, unless your WIFI ISP supplies you WDS access (not likely)

WDS is another technique and is not compatible with 'Client' stuff
