WL500gP stops working after a few minutes

My wl500gp is currently running oleg's firmware and has the 128mb RAM mod.

When I turn on the router, it works perfectly, but then after a few minutes it just stops working. I can't access the internet or the config page or even ping the router. The lights stay on as normal though. Rebooting the router makes it work again but then it again cuts out after a few minutes.

I've tried several different firmwares and tried erasing the nvram, but I still get the same problem. I tried to run memtest to see if it was my ram upgrade causing the problem (even though it was working fine before) but the router cuts out before the test finishes.

What could be wrong my router? I've been trying to get it working for a few days now, so any help would be appreciated.

Freezing is an indicator for broken ram.

maybe a loose connection (chip gets warmer after a while)

Thanks, I'll check all the connections on the RAM chips.

Update: I've resoldered some of the connections on the RAM chips and it seems to be working ok. It went through 1 run of memtest without giving any errors, but then at test 14 of run 2 memtest gave a segmentation fault. What could possibly cause that? Should I just ignore it since the router is still working fine?
