With the newest Asus Firmware you can access the Cam on its own Port without Passwort, right. Just set it all in the web interface.
Is it possible to view webcam pictures from WAN site without admin login and activex or not?

Hi
Iґm looking foor a webcam that works with wl-500g usb plug-share. Whatґs the best im your opinion? My Objective is monitor my office.
Another quastion, if I choose a wireless webcam, i will have problems with de wl-500g interface? I can works with a wireless webcam/securitycam via internet without a PC plugged on, only using with the wl-500g webcam Remote Monitor Settings?
Thanks
I have no idea what you exactly mean by wireless camera and the wl500g
if you use a -standalone- wireless IP camera, you don't need the wl500g for the camera functions

should work 500g with more webcams connected throught usb hub to one 500g?
USB 1.1 bandwidth is too low to handle more than one webcam.
i don't think so. there is high compression and small images. ok. 500gx has usb 2.0 ports. will it be possible use more webcams on one 500g(x)?Originally Posted by Oleg
does anyone know of a wl-500g webcam demo site on the internet?
we have installed the latest firmware(1.9.2.7-1) of oleg.
attached usb stick (EXT3); booted from usb stick.
Our Philips Vesta Pro 680 dont function aynmore after boot via usb.
On boot via embedded memory it functions again.
After further investigations we found out that (via /tmp/syslog) no pwc
module is loaded if booted via usb stick. so we ran a 'insmod pwc.o' and
the module was loaded - but no function of the webcam website. however syslog said it was loaded properly, and also a 'lsmod'. memory stick was in readwrite mode as well.
whats the problem here? is there a webcam daemon which we can start or something similiar?
best regards,
midgard
When rootfs is enabled, hotplug events occures before their processing is started, so you've either to replug your cam, or start things manually.
