7 port usb hub - says only 4 ports detected

    I have a wl500w with olegs 1.9.2.7-10

I added a 7 port usb hub. It's working fine with 3 usb hard drives connected.

But I get this in dmesg:
hub.c: new USB device 01:03.2-2.4, assigned address 7
    hub.c: USB hub found
    hub.c: 4 ports detected

And when try to connect a usb 2.0 printer (Samsung ml2510), I still get the same in dmesg.

But I then see this for the printer:
hub.c: new USB device 01:03.2-2.4.2, assigned address 10
    usb.c: not enough configurations
usb.c: unable to get device 10 configuration (error=-22)

So I have 5 devices connected (1 internal, 4 external). But it's telling me the hub only has 4 ports.

Does it only support 4 devices?

printers and webcams should be connected to the router directly for best results

Also, you might want to download the "new" oleg firmware which might have some fixes for this: http://code.google.com/p/wl500g/

I never ended up connecting 7 devices to my hub, but it seems to work with my harddrive connected to the 7th port

Thanks. Putting the printer on the router itself seems to have been the problem.
