Thread: FTP port 21 possible to change ?

FTP port 21 possible to change ?

    The built-in FTP-server uses the standard FTP-port 21.
I'm using the WL500W behind a livebox (Sagem FAST 3202) which is also using port 21 (for updating firmware).
Because they are both using this port I'm not able to get data-transfer from an external IP.
I have setup another FTP-server on a PC connected to the WL500W and changed port 21 into port 8021 which is working OK.
Is it possible to change the FTP-port on the WL500W ?

I have a livebox as well and I'm not proud of it

just set the ftp client to active connection instead of passive and it should work

otherwise you can make a virtual server on a different port.
    eg:
    Port Range: 200
    Local IP: 127.0.0.1
    Local Port: 21
    Protocol: tcp

this will put port 21 on port 200 on the wan

    Thx for the tip.
Using Filezilla and switched to Active mode and it's working
