    Unhappy Samba is still read only ... Help

    Hi,

    I am a newbie for this and I have spend 2 days searching through this forum, great info (got my firmware upgarded, got to know what is samba etc.) , thanks!

    However, I still can't get samba working. I am only using the Samba Demo provided in the 1.9.2.7-4. I can see and read from the drive but I can't write to the drive, I just want a simple lan disk, no fancy stuff whatsoever, please help......... Please ...............

    Firmware: 1.9.2.7-4
    USB HD formated as FAT32
    Windows XP SP2

    Did you try the share$ (\\your router\share$)?

    PS: It should be /tmp/syslog.log

    It was the damn "$" sign!!!! with that added, everything is fine, what a bummer!
