Question Is it possible to perform standalone download from specified URL?

    Hi,
I looked threw the all messages in this forum but unfortunaly not found the answer on my dummy question...
I would like to perform the standalone downloads using wl500g by specifying the ftp or http url. I see here more powerfull solution using giFT, but sometimes I would like to download from URL, without using p2p networks.
    Could you help me, please

You can use wget which is included in custom fw. Curl is another tool which can be used, but needs to be downloaded seperatly (search this forum for curl to find binaries).

For info on how to use wget or curl use google. (eg. "man wget")

Thanks a lot for quick and useful answer!
I'm ashamed for my question - but I'm not familiar in Linux and the search string I put to find any info in this forum about standalone download doesn't bring me to wget utility.
    Thanks!
