I'm not able to setup a connection using the AES encription, as it is not available on the wondows interface.
I'm using an intel client card.
Is there any update by intel or by microsoft to make AES available?
cheers
maybe almost nobody is using it. but i just discovered that the WL500g is capable of doing WPA-PSK with TKIP AND AES encryption at the same time
for me this is handy because i don't want to use tkip with my wl100g because it malfunctions..
and for my wl120 card.. it just still sux because it stays malfunctioning with tkip (unless i turn off and on the card, then it works)
my log says:
SSID : AAPg
Channel : 11
Authentication: WPA-PSK
Encryption : TKIP or AES
ACL : Accept

and second. also the drivers should support this, if they don't it won't work.
I suppose that the following patches are the one you meant:
815485 - Overview of the WPA Wireless Security Update in Windows XP
826942 - Wireless Update Rollup Package for Windows XP is Available
I've install both of them and a still don't have de aes encription available.
Intel doesn't support yet the aes encription mode for its intel prowireless cards.
