    FTP users can't connect, "admin" can?!

    Hello all asus users,

    A question that a read more on this forum but i still haven't found what i am looking for... lol and thats a solution for my problem. Hope you can help me out. My problem is the FTP server on the asus WL-500G:

    Situation:

    I can connect true lan\wan with the "admin" or anonymous account

    But not with a user account (not on lan or wan...)

    Port 21 is open( donno why because i read everywhere that the FTP server is behind the firewall...

    So what can it be... I also got the latestfirmware...

    Please help me out...

    which version is your latest firmware?
    1.9.2.7 or 1.9.2.7-4 or 1.9.3.6 ?

    ps a screenshot of your ftp config could help us and you perhaps further

    Firmware..>

    My firmware is 1.9.3.6. That was the most recent one that i could find.

    Oh and i could post my FTP settings here but i dont think that would be wise...

    So can some help me out?

    Well making a screenshot of the FTP admin page and wiping the passwords in that screenshot would not compromise your security, or would it?

    Try disabling the Super User option, that causes your problem.

    Instead of the Super User option you can create an administrator account in the user list who has effectively the same rights as the Super User.

    Sorry but that didnt work.. When i trie to log in (internet explorer... may be thats the problem) The login screen keeps comming up and no ftp server is visble...

    Login using internet explorer:

    ftp://username:password@ip-address or DNS name
