Real time clock on WL-500gp?

I have a Asus WL-500gp that runs Koppels firmware

which is based on Olegs firmware.

When the WL-500gp boots all timestamps are for Jan 1st 1970, until it gets the time from a timeserver. I have tried running
hwclock --utc --systohc
but then I get the error message
hwclock: could not access RTC: No such file or directory

Does the WL-500gp have a Realtime Clock chip that runs when the router is off?
