Are you sure? There should be more RAM.

Yeah, we all are No problem. This is a really powerful router, im sure OLEG FW will come soon
Looks like an upgrade of a WL-500W.
- same old case
+ lots of RAM
+ fast cpu
+ GigaBit LAN
Questions, if anyone can answer:
1) Does this router support 5GHz N wireless?
2) Can it transmitt on two wireless channels concurrently ie like WRT610N?
3) Does it have a JTAG port? Omission would be disappointing!!!
4) Are the aerials detachable?

OH YES!
me like this thing a lot!
I mean... finally PROPER draft N wireless and a heatsink on the CPU so it doesn't need to be underclocked
the additional ram is great as well...
I bet they made it especially for us
I think however that they only used a faster cpu to support better dataflow from the wlan card, since the 300mhz cpu in the wl-500w is a bottleneck now and then.
I might be buying this thing, even without oleg support (so far).
Thanks asus for listening to the real fans for a time
It's currently selling in China for Y1700, which is <USD280, although I suppose the markup will be higher outside the PRC.
By the time I retire my WL-500W the price will be much lower I hope.
The biggest advantage is the inclusion of a JTAG port.
Gigbit LAN and 5GHz WLAN is also bout time.

A couple of months to get it available, 2-3 months to get a lower price and some unpredictable time to get it working with *wrt/some custom firmware...
Sad but true

Well I'm not sure if it'll take that mutch time...
I mean the architecture is the same so it will be placing some pre-compiled drivers in the source, maybe a different cross-compiler, edit a few scripts and ur done...
